Cory Cormier grew up in Poland, Maine and currently resides in Mechanic Falls with his fiancé and son. Cory was introduced to the outdoors by his grandfather and uncle at a young age with the support of his family. As a kid, he frequently enjoyed fishing the many lakes, ponds and brooks that the region has to offer, and some of his favorite childhood memories involve deer hunting with relatives behind his grandfather’s house. This is where he developed a true love for the outdoor lifestyle.
Cory is most passionate about deer hunting with his friends, turkey hunting during those early spring mornings and ice fishing. He takes pride in sharing the outdoor lifestyle with his family and passing on his passion for the outdoors to his son and others.
Codie Keene grew up in Poland, Maine and after spending a few years in Massachusetts, moved back to Maine where he currently lives in Rangeley with his wife and two sons. Codie did not grow up in a hunting family, but spent countless hours as a kid in the woods and on the lake fishing with his grandfather. He was first introduced to hunting by some friends in college who knew he would take a liking to the sport given his love for nature. Since, he has immersed himself in all things outdoors and strives to live the “lifestyle” every day.
Codie has focused his time on trying new things rather then honing in on one skillset. He has travelled to the Florida Keys to fish the salt flats, Saskatchewan to hunt waterfowl & whitetails, and all over New England for everything in between. However, he is most passionate about turkey hunting in the spring, deer hunting in the fall with friends, and upland hunting with his shorthaired pointer, Riley.
Codie feels compelled to share his passion and pass on the lifestyle to others. Teaching his children outdoor skills so they too can live out this rewarding lifestyle is of the upmost importance.
Joe Kruse was born in Hollywood, Florida but lived in Jackman, Maine until the age of 7 when his family moved back to south Florida where he lived until 2006. He developed a passion for the outdoors while spending summers and winter breaks at his family’s camp on Parlin Pond in the Northwest mountains of Maine. At the age of 15 he shot his first deer, a spike in the Florida Everglades, and from then on hunting has been a total obsession.
Joe and his wife Liz along with their two kids, Leah and Taylor, decided to move back to Maine in 2006 to live closer to the outdoor lifestyle. With a strong background in hospitality, they built and opened Lake Parlin Lodge in 2010 and it quickly became a popular snowmobiling and hunting destination.
Owning and operating the Lodge gave Joe a great opportunity to pursue his passion of guiding and float flying. It also opened doors along the way that included founding the Coburn Summit Riders snowmobile club that he still runs today. Joe’s biggest passions are hunting for moose, deer, and shed antlers as well as flying and snowmobiling. Family, friends, and The True North Lifestyle is what it’s all about!
Rick Labbe was born in Oakland, Maine, and has spent over 50 years hunting whitetails across 17 states & 5 Canadian provinces. He learned to track & stalk bucks on his own at only 12 years old. At 18, he became a Registered Maine Guide, guiding hunters for deer, bear, & moose as well as running hounds for coyote and bobcat.
At 25, Rick built a hunting camp in the Jackman area and has been chasing big bucks in the mountains of Maine ever since. Over his lifetime, he has taken more than 50 bucks over 200lbs, including 8 that grossed over 170". His passion for the outdoors started young and that love for hunting has only grown, taking him west 22yrs ago to hunt elk and mule deer, eventually leading him to buy a cabin in Wyoming where he now spends much of his time.
Every minute he's not working, he's hunting or fishing with his wife and two daughters and his son-in-law. In the spring & summer, Rick spends his time fishing for salmon & brook trout, a passion passed down from his mother. Exploring new country and hunting new places has always been at the heart of his outdoor pursuits. Lee Libby grew up in Porter, Maine in a family of loggers. After serving his country as a Marine, he returned to Maine and now resides in Rangeley with his Wife. Lee was introduced to the outdoors at a young age by his father and has many great memories of brook trout fishing with his dad and uncles. Lee shot his first deer in Parsonsfield, ME and has never looked back since.
Although Lee feels there is a time and place for all outdoor activities, his greatest pursuits nowadays consist of deer & bear hunting in the big woods, deep sea fishing in Florida, and ice fishing excursions by snowmobile to some of the most remote parts of Maine. Lee has a knack for modifying anything with a motor and pushing the limits of most people’s comfort zones. For those reasons and more, Lee is an incredible Maine Guide. His passion to teach others everything he knows about the outdoor lifestyle is shown through his guiding.
When Lee is not guiding or prepping for a new adventure, he enjoys his time spent alone, in the woods, on a deer track. As he puts it - Being outdoors is an addiction which one needs no intervention nor treatment.
